Well, I talked to Dr. Siddiqi yesterday and he said to plan on 3-4 days in the hospital. Wow!! I was thinking overnight... He also said that Emily will have a wound vac and then either a skin flap or skin graft. I honestly don't know the difference.
I thought I would post pictures of the changes in the hemangioma/ulceration over the past 4 months and why we are finally having surgery...

And on an even happier note, Ryan is going to the Wound Care Clinic today. His excision from the melanoma still isn't healed (and has been infected twice). He will most likely end up with a wound vac and dressings.
By the way, our house is starting to look like a medical supply store. Between supplies for dressing changes, PICC line care...

my goodness, my goodness. i hope and pray that all goes well. emily will probably be the most patient girl in the world as she gets older. seriously it's amazing.
