End of the 2010-2011 school year

I can't believe another school year has come and gone...  The kids are getting too big too fast and I am growing too old too fast.  Kailey finished 9th grade, Tyler finished 6th grade, and Megan finished 1st grade.

As is tradition for the elementary school, the yearly dance festival was held before school ended.  Tyler's grade did "The Hustle" and the first graders did a cute dance with parachutes to the song "Under the Sea".  Tyler wore a bright green fuzzy hat and really got into the dance.  Megan had a huge smile on her face the whole time.  Of course, both kids were thrilled to be able to go home as soon as the dance festival was over in the morning.  :-)

I asked Megan to smile for the camera before the festival started.

I continued to ask...

And this is finally what I got.  Sassy girl WOULD NOT smile even though the kid next to her did.

Tyler also graduated from 6th grade this year.  A really nice graduation ceremony was held on the last day of school.  It really showcased the kids - they spoke, sang, and performed musical numbers.  Tyler received the President's Education Award.  This award is given to students that received all "4's" on their core tests (the highest scores) and at least a 3.4 GPA.  We are very proud of Tyler and he looked very handsome in his suit.
