What could be better than free?

For a few weeks now, I have been looking for a little plastic pool for the kids. We have had an inflatable pool, but it seems to lose it's air really quickly in the heat and is a pain to drain and clean. I have looked all over - Walmart, Shopko, etc. and could not find one. Halloween and Fall items? Sure. But who would think that someone may want a pool in the middle of July?

Anyway, after a long day of shopping in Salt Lake on Saturday, Kailey called me on her cell phone. She and her friends had been walking around Overlake and saw the exact hard plastic pool with the little slide that I had wanted. It was sitting on someone's lawn with a "FREE!" sign on it. I was giddy with excitement!! Not only had Kailey found the pool but it was free!!

Megan and I jumped in the van and drove two streets over. The people that lived in the house were obviously moving and the pool was just sitting on the front lawn. It was in perfect condition!! The only thing that was missing was the drain plug and we happened to have an extra from the other pool.

I hurried and threw the pool on top of the van. What a find!! We filled it up the next morning and all of the kids have loved it!! Even Emily has gotten in on the fun!
