A little brag about my husband...

Yesterday Ryan brought home this letter that someone in the community had written to his Sergeant. It's a little long but so complimentary to him... I don't post much about Ryan but I wanted to let him know how proud of him I am.

8 July 2009

Dear Sergeant Bowman,

I had the opportunity to work with Deputy Ryan Wolf on Sunday, July 5th, 2009 when a man chose to break into our home. Deputy Wolf and a female deputy were dispatched to our home. My adrenaline was pushing and I felt like I just kept talking and he was so kind to just listen, ask the right questions to understand and help catch the perpetrator. I was impressed how Deputy Wolf treated his co-worker with such respect and accepted any help she was willing to give. They were exceptional as a team. While Deputy Wolf was in our home taking the report, he was most kind, respectful, patient and a very good listener. He was so good to let us ask our questions and never promising anything he knew he or the Sheriff's Department couldn't deliver. Over the past few days, I have had to call Deputy Wolf for updates and to update him on information regarding the case and he has always treated me and my family with patience, kindness, and professionalism. I feel that some people have a natural gift at the occupation they choose and then some choose an occupation to fit their egos or what their egos need. I have to tell you Deputy Wolf is not only a natural at his job, but he is an asset to our community. Deputy Wolf has taken the time to let my family ask questions and understand the processes that your department deals with every day but foreign to my family. I can't thank Deputy Wolf enough for the service he gave to my family and continues to give to our community.

We have had in the past and again on Monday an opportunity to work with a few of the other deputies and were not treated as kindly or as professional. I remember shutting the door Monday night after your officers left thinking "what a contrast between these two and Wolf". Don't get me wrong, my family appreciates all the Sheriff Deputies in our area and are grateful for their service. But after interacting with Deputy Wolf again on Tuesday, I just couldn't let it go and had to call you to tell you what a great job he did and how much I appreciate working with Deputy Wolf on this case.

Growing up with a father that worked as you and your deputies do for our community, I understand that not only the politics you have to endure in your jobs but also having to deal with the public can be trying. I appreciate knowing that Deputy Wolf is here in our community. Our family teased on Monday night after shutting the door that for now on if we have to call 911, our first words will be our address and then "Send Wolf".

Thank you again,

XXXXXXXX
