I LOVE the 4th of July! The whole thing... The parade, fireworks, food, everything. Living in a small town is so fun. We attended the annual parade on Main Street in the morning. Emily had such a great time. She sat in the chair and waved her flag with the biggest smile on her face. The kids loved getting and (eating) all of the candy that was thrown - we had a hard time keeping them from getting too far out in the street. The Tooele parade is so funny... From the local businesses to army warfare, you can always expect a wide variety of entries.
After the parade, we went to the festivities held at the park by the swimming pool. There was local entertainment, food, games, and vendors. Tyler purchased two African Dwarf frogs - the highlight of the day for him.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing, eating, and playing the Wii. My parents hung out at our house, as I had to go to work at 6 that night. We decided to wait and do fireworks on Sunday night so that I could be there. Some pics are below from the parade and a short video of Emily's excitement watching the fireworks...
