Black or white kitchen cabinets?
I need some help - please!! I'm going to paint my kitchen cabinets and cannot decide what color. My kitchen is little and red right now with fake oak cabinets. And lovely grey laminate countertops. My appliances are white and that won't be changing anytime soon. I am going to paint the kitchen walls (color undecided as well). Here are some pics of my current kitchen...

I think I like the black better, I wish I would have painted ours black now that I see those pictures. I do like the white though too. Do you think that if you painted them black, that it would seem pretty dark with the red walls? I like the black cabinets with the light walls. I'm sure it will look great with whatever you choose!! Post pics when you are done!! :)
I vote for black!
I would give ANYTHING for white cabinets-that was the first thing I asked the realtor when we were building, and she ASSURED me they had white cabinets, and since we couldn't go to the design center before buying, I took her word for it. They didn't offer white cabinets. My heart is STILL broken!

If you do white, I could antique them with black.
as much as I love black, i think it might become too overbearing after time. My sis in law just painted her cabinets white, and they turned out beautifully. If it were me, i would do a shade of off white, then you can put just about any color on your walls behind them. or even keep your red!
I will be repainting the red walls to something lighter either way...
