Tyler was chosen to be involved in the GT Challenge program at the elementary school (Gifted and Talented) for the past two years. This program is spearheaded by a wonderful woman in our neighborhood who devotes hours and hours to challenging and increasing our kids knowledge.
Every year the 6th grade performs a Shakespeare play. This year the play was "Much Ado About Nothing". Tyler was chosen to play the part of Benedic. The kids practice for over two months. Tyler and I spent many nights reading lines (all the lines have to be memorized). The kids perform once for the school and then their main performance at night.
If I do say so myself, Tyler did an amazing job!!! He knew all of his lines, spoke clearly and slowly, and showed great emotion in his part. We were so proud of him. And proud of ALL of the GT kids and their amazing leaders. The set was beautiful, the kids were prepared, and it was a joy to watch!!
