Our dogs

After Sam and Maggie died, we felt the need (for some unknown reason) to acquire two more dogs.  First came Jake.  He is a lab/chesapeake bay retriever mix that Tyler got for Christmas last year.  He is a very high energy dog that gets bored very easily.  He chews (like on our house, deck, motorhome, toys) and he digs (random holes in the yard).  He barks when he is bored, hears something, or needs to be fed.  Although he has definitely not been my favorite dog in the world, these puppy behaviors are improving.  He has grown into a GINORMOUS dog - which means lots and lots of food and lots and lots of poop.  Thankfully we have a capable 11 year old owner.

He was so little then

Jake now at about 1 1/2 years old

Bella is our sweet little Shih Tzu who we have had for just over a year.  She has a very sweet personality (although very submissive to men sometimes) and plays well with the kids.  She loves to rough house with Jake.  She is generally housebroken (we mostly keep her on the main floor).  She also loves to dig under fences and escape into the neighbors yards (and we are so sorry).  She tends to be our wanderer and loves to explore.
