Dollar Store Craft Projects

Holy cow...  Is it true?  Am I really posting?  After only TWO months?  Sad but true.  And what's even more sad - I'm not posting pics of my family for the first update in two months but crafty home decor projects.  :-)

As a lot of my friends and family know, I am a total blog stalker.  I love reading crafty, thifty, decorating blogs.  Over the past few months, I have found quite a few projects made with supplies from Dollar Tree.  I heart Dollar Tree.  I have found some of the coolest supplies and treasures there.  And as you know - it is not Dollar Tree.  It is 30 Dollar Tree.  Or even 60 Dollar Tree.  (And shhhh....  don't tell my husband!)

I have gathered quite a few supplies to make some cool projects and somehow don't seem to get the projects finished.  I have been wanting to do a craft night for a while...  A bunch of girls, food, and cheap, cool crafts.  I'm not looking to make any money, just have fun and decorate my home in a thrifty fashion. :-)

So, following are some possible projects that I have found for a craft night (to be held in a couple of weeks?). None of these projects would be over $5 - most of them $2-3.  I am thinking that I would need the $$ ahead of time to be able to buy the supplies.  I was also thinking that I could hold it at the back room of Phil's Glass...  Lots of tables and chairs, parking lot to do some spray painting.  Make as few or as many as you want.  And if you have any other suggestions, feel free!!

Decorative Balls made from wiffle balls, jute, spray paint, moss, etc. and holders

Candle holders...  The second one would hold a tea light.

Fun wall hooks - first one is a bow holder.  Could be used for keys, etc.

Decorate square frames

Fun frame projects!!

Moss topiary, moss decorative balls, grass plant (not loving the pot but that is easily changed/painted)

 Chic ceramic birds

From plain silver trays to serving trays (think birthdays, holidays) and decor!

Table runner, mail holder, jewelry pedestal (like for next to the sink)

Apothecary jars.  I've made these and LOVE them!!

I've posted these pics on Facebook as well....  Leave a comment there, here, or shoot me an email at skrwolf@hotmail.com if you are interested!!

Looks like fun! I have wanted to make a bow holder for a long time! I have been wanting to tell you how tall Kailey has gotten and how I miss seeing her! I need to have her babysit, when Clif has a job again!
