Well, Kailey started junior high on Wednesday. Sniff, sniff. My little girl. I drove her on Wednesday morning and started to feel very sad when I saw her with her friends, looking so grownup with their cute hair, makeup, new clothes. So far she loves junior high and is excited to be able to switch classes. By the way, it cost me $150 to register her... $114 of "required" fees - locker rental, textbook rental, etc. and $40 of activity card and yearbook fees. Gotta love school in Utah.
Tyler started fourth grade on Thursday. He really likes his teacher and although he was bummed that his best friend wasn't in his class, they were able to eat lunch and play together at recess. I am SO not ready for my kids to be in school... Early mornings, homework... Yuck. I miss the lazy days of summer. I can't believe that I didn't take any pictures of my kids on the first day of school. Yeah - loser mom, I know!
Megan starts preschool after Labor Day. She is SO excited. I'm pretty excited too... She gets bored during the day without the kids being home to entertain her.
Little Emily is getting so big. She is giggling and rolling from front to back and back to front. She loves playing with toys and is starting to fear strangers and only wants to be held by someone she knows.
Ryan went bow-hunting for elk this weekend. I had to work, so my mom came out to stay with the kids. Thank heavens for my mom!!! She is so great... She does so much for me and I am so grateful. She watches the kids, cleans my house, organizes... My kids LOVE it when she comes because she will play games with them and they have a great time with her. I'm not very good at "playing".
I will post some pictures later on tonight...
