Okay - I am freaking HUGE!!!! If one more person says to me, "So HOW much longer do you have left? Really? All the way until April?", I'm seriously going to cry, right then and there. My x-large maternity shirts are getting tight. I ran into one of the OB nurses from the hospital at my midwife's office the other day. She said, "When are you due?" I told her and she said, "You are HUGE!" Gee, thanks. I'm measuring right on and have only gained about 16 pounds so far... I think it's that I carry so high and everything just sticks out. I asked Ryan tonight what the heck I'm going to wear in the next two months and he suggested moo-moo's. Great.
I am starting work at the hospital on February 7th. I am pretty much scheduled full-time until the end of March. I'm not sure I'll make it full-time until then but I would love to be able to get as much training as possible before the baby comes. I was pretty much able to schedule my own hours so I am mostly working on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (Ryan's days off).
Oh, one more vent... I'm moving to Hawaii. As much as I love to look at the snow, I hate to shovel it, drive in it, clean my floors after the whole family has walked in it, and hang up the coats for the 40th time after the kids have played in it.
Okay - venting over. Timani tagged me to post 7 little known things about myself, so here they are.
1. I went to Ireland for about a week in 1993. Our concert choir toured there and I actually saw the Blarney Stone (although I didn't kiss it).
2. I have a little OCD issue with sweeping my floors. I do it several times a day and I have a really hard time letting someone else do it (they don't do it right).
3. Along those lines, I LOVE my Dustbuster. First one died, so we bought another. Then I bought another so I have one upstairs and one downstairs. After I sweep, out comes the dustbuster. No dustpans for me. I hate the little line that it leaves.
4. I am addicted to hairspray. Not the movie - the stuff that holds your hair. And it can't be the cheap kind (although I've tried many). The $15 per bottle Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine. It drives Ryan crazy. I've had this addiction since high school.
5. I love getting massages and pedicures. I haven't had many in my life (3 of the former and 4 or 5 of the latter) but they are heavenly. Ryan gave me a gift certificate to the Millpond Spa for a manicure, pedicure, and massage and I can't wait to go this week. I hate to feel dry, rough feet (mine or anyone elses).
6. I never owned a car before I got married. My parents didn't believe in their kids having cars (well, until Steve came along) so I was constantly borrowing theirs or hitching rides with friends. Then, after I got married, the first car we owned was a '78 Ford Thunderbird. Sweet.
7. I don't think I could live without cable. Okay - maybe a bit of an exaggeration. I love watching TLC, HGTV, The Discovery Channel. Even if it's just on in the background...
Okay - I'm tagging Andrea, my mom, Trish, and Kara. Would love to see your answers in your blogs!!

ROTFLMBO Moo-moo's! Ryan IS an idiot! He must not be too scared of you. Either that or he knows you can't catch him. 16 lbs is good!
huh, I'm thinking aquanet would be a great gift for you. :) So popular and cheap in jr high/high school. Is it still sold anywhere?
Amen Timani, Aquanet was the BOMB! And no, you can't buy it anymore! I was a ClarMist girl, can't buy that either...
I'm so sorry, I certainly don't miss being pregnant! And, I will gladly move to Hawaii with you!! Let's go.
Uggghhh, I'll work on the tag thing. Yikes.
I bought shampoo & conditioner at Walmart today and guess what... they HAVE Aqua net, still in the silver/pink can. WHOA!
Yay! You added it. You know what I'm talking about. :D
Shelly, just tell them you're working on a world record baby and the dr. thinks she's just about 20 lbs so far. As long as you can keep a straight face, I think you're fine!
