Merry Christmas to all!

I can't believe it... Christmas has come and gone once again. We had a nice Christmas Eve at Ryan's parent's house with the whole ham dinner. The kids woke us up at about 7:30 on Christmas morning. We opened gifts (and as usual, Ryan and I went waaay overboard) and then headed to Ryan's parents again at about noon. Then at about 4:00, we went to my mom and dad's and were there until about 10:00. We had a great time playing pool and the Wii (Santa's big gift).

I'm a little sad that Christmas is over but I must admit, I'm a little relieved. Actually, I'm tired!!! I know that I do it to myself. Every year I say that I'm going to scale things down. Somehow, it never happens.

It looks like the big hits of the kids' gifts has been the Wii, the board games (Mall Madness, Life Twists and Turns, Candyland Castle), and Megan's new baby. The Wii is really fun and interactive - gets the kids off the couch. Ryan gave me a couple of gift certificates (Target and Motherhood), a memory foam mattress pad for our horrible bed, and some other things that I had asked for. He really spoiled me. I gave him a gift certificate to Cal Ranch (cowboy boots), drill, 4-wheeler cover, etc.

All in all, it was a successful Christmas. Like always, too many calories consumed, not enough sleep gotten, too much money spent, but tons of fun and joy had by everyone.
