Okay, so I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and start a blog. Actually, I LOVE reading other people's blogs and am horrible at keeping a journal, so I thought this would be a good way to tackle both.
Some events in our lives... I found out today that I passed the NCLEX-PN board exam. That means that I am officially an LPN! I know... Kind of weird that I took it now since I will be taking my RN boards in January. I had already paid the exam fee for the state LPN exam way back in June and decided that I might as well take it. Next is finishing my coursework... Graduation is December 13th!! I'm going to try to get on at the hospital in OB or with a home health agency for the time being.
I had my Level II Ultrasound two weeks ago. We found out that we are having another girl. We are excited (the girls especially). I got a copy of the report yesterday and everything is normal. Heartrate in the 160's, normal anatomy. The name is our next challenge. Currently it's Emily but I'm sure we will change our mind a few times.
Today I took Kailey for her first session with a speech therapist (at a tune of WAY too much money). Dr. Horsley (her orthodontist) advised an evaluation with the therapist because Kailey has what is called "tongue thrust". Basically she always has her tongue forward. This is what has caused her to have such an overbite on the top. Unless we correct this, once her braces are removed, her teeth will go back to exactly the way they are now. So for the next 7 weeks, once a week I get to drive Kailey to Cottonwood Heights for a 1/2 hour "session". And lucky girl, she gets to practice her tongue exercises three times per day.
I am continuing to sell on eBay and hope that a lot sells for Christmas. I just sell random things that I find for really good prices at KMart or Target. I have decided that I could really become addicted to shopping and scouting for deals and then reselling them. I love the thrill of watching the auction go up and up (well, hopefully)!
